Guidelines for ASTR 270's Use of the UW Planetarium:

  1. Reporting Issues: The UW Planetarium serves as an active science communication platform. Should you encounter any technical difficulties or issues, please promptly notify the program coordinator, Andy Tzanidakis, for resolution (UW Planetarium Organizer). Please do not attempt to fix any issues besides the ones that Andy has instructed you.

  2. Permission for Guests: To maintain the integrity of ASTR 270 activities and respect the planetarium's capacity, refrain from inviting or bringing non-ASTR 270 students to the planetarium without explicit permission from Andy Tzanidakis. This policy applies to all attendees, with no exceptions.

  3. Respectful Conduct: Treat the planetarium space with utmost respect. Keep the area clean and free from personal belongings or litter. As the planetarium hosts numerous guests each month, maintaining cleanliness is essential for a welcoming environment.

  4. Communication Protocol: At the beginning of each quarter, we will provide instructions on accessing the planetarium. Your cooperation and clear communication are crucial for the smooth operation of the planetarium. Stay attentive to announcements and adhere to the outlined procedures for access.

  5. Key Responsibility: It is imperative not to misuse the UW Planetarium door code, which will be changed weekly. Such an occurrence could result in serious consequences for the planetarium program and its utilization in our class. Your diligence in safeguarding the keys ensures uninterrupted access to the planetarium and supports the success of our course activities
